Mutter Teresas "Geheimnis"

"Ich werde Ihnen ein Geheimnis erzählen; da wir ja knapp tausend enge Freunde versammelt haben und auch deshalb, weil wir die "Missionarinnen der Nächstenliebe“ bei uns haben, die der Heilige Geist in die Welt gesandt hat, damit sich die Geheimnisse vieler Herzen offenbaren.

"Es ist nicht sehr lange her, da zelebrierte ich die Messe und predigte für ihre Mutter, Mutter Theresa von Kalkutta. Nach dem Frühstück verbrachten wir eine längere Zeit im Gespräch in einem kleinen Raum. Plötzlich hörte ich mich unwillkürlich fragen - ich weiß nicht, warum -: „Mutter, was denken Sie, ist eigentlich das größte Problem unserer heutigen Zeit?“

Sie könnte mehr als jeder andere eine beliebige Anzahl von Anhaltspunkten nennen: Hungersnöte, Pest, Krankheit, das Zusammenbrechen der Familie, Rebellion gegen Gott, Korruption der Medien, die Schulden in der Welt, die nukleare Bedrohung und so weiter.

"Ohne eine Sekunde zu zögern sagte Mutter Teresa: „Wohin auch immer ich in der ganzen Welt komme, das, was mich am traurigsten macht, ist zu sehen, dass Menschen die Heilige Kommunion in der Hand empfangen."

Mother Teresa’s “Secret"

“I will tell you a secret, since we have just a thousand close friends together, and also because we have the Missionaries of Charity with us, …(…whom the Holy Spirit has sent into the world that the secrets of many hearts might be revealed.)

“Not very long ago I said Mass and preached for their Mother, Mother Teresa of Calcutta, and after breakfast we spent quite a long time talking in a little room. Suddenly, I found myself asking her - don't know why – ‘Mother, what do you think is the worst problem in the world today?' She more than anyone could name any number of candidates; famine, plague, disease, the breakdown of the family, rebellion against God, the corruption of the media, world debt, nuclear threat, and so on.

“Without pausing a second she said, ‘Wherever I go in the whole world, the thing that makes me the saddest is watching people receive Communion in the hand’”

Effectivement… L'épitaphe d'Autun n'apporte pas beaucoup d'eau au "moulin de la main". Mais j'ai entendu dire qu'on avançait aussi un texte de St Cyrille sur ce thème !?
